Pan Tilts

Remote positioning devices that can be fitted onto a camera, camera housing or bracket that allow the camera to pan across a lateral area, tilt across a vertical plane or zoom into a subject. Cameras can be mounted on such a pan-tilt either on top or on the side. The decision is largely based on the load (weight) of the camera. DC pan tilts generally give faster speeds of panning and tilting. Some pan tilts have preset positioning, while others have an Autopan feature which allows the camera to be moved automatically upon an event being triggered. The devices are also referred to as PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom).
